TONBO heavy rayon-polyester hakama blue
Hakama made of beautiful fabric - a blend of rayon and polyester, twice thicker than the material used in standard rayon-polyester hakama. Despite its thickness, material is very well arranged and well maintained by polyester, for a long time; The thickness of the fabric guarantees durability and ensures that hakama's leg will not flap around during training.
This product is a great choice for people looking for a hakama of cotton-like thickness, but unlike it, elegant, durable and easy to maintain.
Hakama is offered in two versions: for aikido or iaido. It is made on the basis of traditional cut with 5 pleats on the front and 2 pleats on the back. Straps (himo) are quilted 7-8 times to preserve them from stretching and deforming. Side fly is strengthened to preserve it from tearing. Hakama has also 2 belt loops on its inside to improve holding it in its desired position, they are helpful when drying too. In iaido hakama version we also add hera under koshi ita.
We offer our hakamas in several universal sizes with seperation for man and women (detailed size description is placed in the table underneath). While man and women both are the same height, their hakamas differ. Hakama for women is longer and tighter. Women tie up their hakamas on their waist, differently than man, who wear their hakamas down on the hips. Hakama for women has got a tighter koshita, fitted to women's slimmer body and a tighter front. It has shorter straps too. Women's cut also includes larger difference of circumferences between waist and hips.
